Up for auction is a fine assortment of arrowheads, indian artifacts and native american pieces from low grade to high collector grade. This auction includes many notable collections including the Bob Bausher, Bob Lindaw, Walt Podpora, Charles Eiss Jr., Bob Hiler and Galley Reed and small collections. Highlights in the auction include a stunning Spiro Mound engraved shell dipper, drilled gorgets, bannerstones and pendants, pipes, arrowhead frames and many nice arrowheads and spears.
Collections: Bob Hiler Collection of Rochester, New York This past fall we received a large portion of the Bob Hiler indian artifact collection. Bob was quite the guy- well versed in trade artifacts with a passion for New York Iroquoian trade sites. He hunted and found many artifacts which are included in his collection, as well as acquired many through sales and trading with local friends. There are many incredible beads, brass trade items, pipes, points and misc trade artifacts. Most of his frames were sited in detail, making this a significant historical collection. This collection will be sold over the 2026 auction year. Robert "Bob" Lindaw Collection of Whitehouse, New Jersey Bob amassed a fantastic collection of arrowheads and indian artifacts, approximately half of personal finds from the mid-upper New Jersey Region and the other half bought/traded for over the years. He worked as a superintendent at Round Valley State Park, where his dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the area left a lasting legacy. Bob started seriously collecting artifacts in the 60s and 70s and continued collection into the 2020's (crazy to say that!). Bob had quite the "artifact cave" which his family said he converted their 2 car garage into many years ago and then built another garage beside that for the cars. Bob and I talked many times over the past several years. He had discussed consigning his collection two years back. I remember him saying how busy he was with his garden in the summer and fall, and to follow up later in the winter or spring. Unfortunately, Bob passed this past year and his family reached out for us to help disperse his collection to the artifact collecting community. Bob will be missed, and his name will live on through his artifact collection which will be included in our first two auctions. We will be posting more pictures in the coming days Mr. Galley Reed of Sidney, New York. Several of Galley's artifacts are pictured in Dr. Ritchies' fluted point book for New York. Galley started collecting as a child. In the 1950's-80's, him and his family could be found in the fields looking for artifacts. He told his friend, Patrick, he had found artifacts in every field from Afton to Otego along the Susquehanna River and Sidney to New Berlin along the Unadilla River in New York state. .
